| This is what play represents to me |
Back
in the 80’s play time in schools was an essential part in the curriculum. When I was in elementary I had 3 recesses and
a lunch recess. As children we enjoy
those days fill with new adventures. My teachers were also involved during
recess. They played with us. After school, I remember my mother telling us to
go outside and play. She didn’t like us sitting all day watching T.V.
Play
time now days are not the same. Sadly schools don’t have recess time like we
use to have. Districts are more concern on
meeting standardize test than the well being of our children. Students spent
more time studying and using technology then interacting with peers.
Play
time is very important for the development of a child. Play gives the child different
avenues to explore, learn and the ability to use the imaginations. As an adult
I still play around. It feels so good when you take the time and just be a kid.
Life is too short to worry about things that only God have the control.
